Music Research Facilities

The Music Department has developed excellent facilities for audio and video recording in the field, which have been employed in India, Brazil and Italy as well as the UK. We also have a recital room that is used for research recordings: these facilities are currently being substantially upgraded. The Acoustics Research Group has two anechoic chambers, a laser Doppler vibrometer, several in-house measurement systems, high-end measurement microphones and amplifiers, as well as a wide range of high performance computing facilities.
