Progressing through your studies in Arts should help you if you are coming to the end of your first year of study.

Student Home: the entrance to the OU’s growing range of web services for students. This site is the primary point of contact with the University for students. It includes your student record and links to services such as course webpages, tutorial information, library resources and sources of computing help and advice.

Open Library is the OU’s electronic library developed to meet the needs of students who want to use the library at a distance. The site links to a wide range of electronic resources and the learner support team provides practical help to individual students. The sections on services for students and your subject are good places to start.

The Safe Computing Website from the OU’s Mathematics and Computing Faculty offers a range of practical advice about how to protect your home computer. It covers topics such as how to avoid viruses, keep your system up to date and back up your files etc. Advice about security and viruses is also available from the OU Computing Helpdesk.

The Services for Disabled Students website provides advice and guidance for OU students with a disability.
