Studying the Arts

Next steps

If you are happy that studying the Arts is for you, you need to decide what qualification you want to work towards and what courses you would like to take.

Initially, you should contact our Student Registration and Enquiry Service. You might also like to drop in to your nearest Open University Regional Centre. Your local centre can let you see copies of course materials and inform you about any relevant events.

Much of the detailed information you will need on courses can be found on our New to the OU website and in the publications The Openings Programme 2007/2008, Short Courses (Arts, Science and Technology) 2007/2008, the Arts and Humanities Prospectus 2007/2008 and the Undergraduate Prospectus 2007/2008.

Starting points

We strongly recommend that all new Arts students begin with one of the following level 1 courses:

Follow this link to find out more about Level 1 study. If you know what course you want to study, you can register online.
