The Open University offers a wide range of Masters degree programmes.
For most of our Masters degree programmes you’ll need to have studied an undergraduate degree (or equivalent qualification) in a relevant subject. Some Masters degrees have additional requirements – see individual course descriptions for details.
Previous study or work experience may count towards your qualification, under our credit transfer system.
Why study a Masters degree with The Open University?
Quite simply, we’re masters at distance learning. We pioneered distance learning more than forty years ago and to date we’ve taught more than two million students worldwide.
We call our method of distance learning ‘supported, open learning’ and it works: over the past 25 years alone, we’ve awarded more than 90,000 postgraduate qualifications, of which more than 40,000 were Masters degrees.
