Elaine will give you a warm welcome when you visit. Elaine manages the Open University reception, while acting as a support to the office manager. In her spare time, Elaine enjoys being with her family, keeping fit and shopping.
Marina has worked in the Dublin office for just over 20 years. Having worked in London as a Careers Adviser, she relocated to Ireland to return to her family’s roots and lives in Co Meath. Marina initially worked as an Educational Adviser when the Dublin office was established in 1996, helping current and potential students to navigate the opportunities within The Open University. In the last three years, Marina has returned to her area of specialisation and provides careers advice and support across Ireland and the UK. Aside from the hours spent commuting, Marina enjoys her rural retreat and the history and landscape on her doorstep.
Jennifer is on hand to advise you if you’re a new or continuing Open University student. Her aim is to help you make the best choices to meet your study goals. A graduate of Trinity College Dublin, Jennifer also holds an Open University Postgraduate Certificate in Online and Distance Education, so she can advise you first-hand about Open University study. Jennifer enjoys travelling, music and photography.
Susan looks after events and marketing for The Open University throughout the Republic of Ireland. Susan studied Law at King’s Inns Dublin and has a Masters degree from Trinity College Dublin in Art History. In her free time Susan loves travelling and painting. Say hello to Susan at our events.
Sheila Vaughan will look after you if you’re a potential or current Open University student in Ireland, supporting your educational journey. In her free time Sheila plays tennis at her local club, travels abroad and around Ireland whenever possible, and is a big fan of live music and the outdoor life.
Valerie provides information and advice to enquirers and students in the Dublin office. Valerie has a degree in Social Sciences from University College Dublin (UCD) and an MA in European Social Policy Analysis from Maynooth University. Valerie also has a Certificate in Adult Education from UCD and a Certificate in Adult Guidance and Counselling from Maynooth University. At weekends Valerie enjoys hill walking.
