Michael Dineen works as an IT analyst for Eircom. Studying with The Open University was a natural choice for him.
Michael explains: “When I became a manager, I took the Open University’s Certificate in Management, which was very useful in my work. Colleagues suggested that I should complete the Master of Business Administration (MBA) but at that stage, it wasn’t something I gave significant thought to. Later, I took a couple of postgraduate technology modules, which counted as electives towards the MBA, so with some encouragement from my staff tutor, I decided it was time to dive in and complete the MBA.”
Michael adds: “I chose The Open University because of the way it delivers – it’s open, it’s flexible, it’s very innovative. It makes a great differences to people’s lives and great differences to the lives of organisations. When I wanted to do a business qualification it was an obvious choice for me.”
The Open University Business School is among the top one percent in the world, and has the sought-after triple accreditation from the world’s leading management institutions. The MBA qualification was recently ranked sixth in the world by CEO Magazine.
