Supported learning
At The Open University, we take a personalised approach to online learning, which makes learning with us anything but distant. We call our method ‘open, supported learning’.
Open
Throughout your chosen course, you’ll study in your own time - either at home or wherever suits you - reading, watching or listening to study material, working on set activities and writing assignments.
Because of this inherent flexibility and accessibility, we refer to our approach as ‘open’.
Supported
From day one and throughout your studies, you’ll have the support of your designated tutor, as well as other staff - and, of course, your classmates, faculty members and the wider Open University student community, all of whom you’ll be able to connect with in a range of ways.
That’s why we call our unique method of distance learning ‘open, supported learning.’
It works, too:
Over the past 40 years, we’ve helped more than two million students worldwide to achieve their study goals.
We believe our track record makes us the world’s most trusted online learning provider by quite some distance.
With us you have the best of all possible worlds: the course you want, the flexibility you need and all the personal support necessary to succeed.
